Today is a weekend, and everyone is hanging out with their friends and loved ones, probably, having the time of their lives. Well, everyone except you, apparently your schedule has been taken by a certain Japanese boy named Kiku Honda.

And before one might conclude wrongly… NO, IT IS NOT A DATE! Unfortunately, you’ve been asked to tutor this well-mannered man and help him improve his English grammar skills, today is your third day of tutoring actually. Sucks to be you, right? Well~ not really, kekekeke. Date or not, he’s kinda sweet AND cute, and you don’t mind spending most of your time with him *wink wink*.

And your lesson for today: Simple Sentence

"So Kiku-chan, what is simple sentence again?" You asked him

"A sentence that contains a subject and a verb. It is also called an independent clause and it expresses a complete thought" he answered, smiling

"Exactly Kiku! Wow, that’s a perfect explanation. I’m proud!"

You ruffled his hair a little bit roughly and he pouted.

"_______-san, you treat me like a kid even though we’re just the same age" he said

You retrieved your hand and laughed

"I’m sorry Kiku-chan but I can’t help it, you look so cute! Now, give me an example of a simple sentence" You told him

He seemed to dig deeper in his mind which amused you because knowing Kiku, he’s probably trying to think of a technical example but in the end he’ll give…

"I c-corlect man-- I mean... I corlect Japanese c-comic books."



Of course being the somewhat nice and professional tutor that you are, you didn’t make fun of his adorable (or so you claim) ways, it is kind of cute anyway (///w///).

"Good good, so let’s practice more simple sentence. I’ll ask you simple questions and you have to answer with simple sentences, understood?" you stated

"Yes" he answered

“Okay, what is your favorite color?"

"My f-favo-rite c-color is red and w-white."


"What is your favorite food?"

"My f-favorite food i-is sushi"

"What flavor of ice-cream do you like Kiku-chan?"

"My favorite ice cream fur-avor i-is Vanirra."

"Do you have any hobbies?"

"I do, I r-love to cospr-lay every now and t-then."

“Wow, so far so good. Okay Kiku-chan, tell me other things you love."

He stopped, thinking for a moment until finally he said…

"I love… _______  _______"

"Okay, you love…"

Wait, what? Did you hear it right? O___O

"Come again?" you uttered, confused

"I love _______  _______, I love you ________-san!" and he repeated with a grin plastered on his face

It took some time for you to take it all in, and when it did, you stood up and left the room.

'Great move _______, great move' you thought

But then again that was some awkward moment to be put on.

Well yes, as one can already hint, You are definitely attracted to the Japanese boy and like any other girls you get all giddy when you see him smile his “oh-so-acquitted" smile.

And just now he smiled at you while saying he loves you?! That’s very flustering, you may die!

So your feet brought you to the kitchen, that’s when you decided to drink a glass of water to cool down.

"_______, are you alright?"

'Great, he's here' you mentally told yourself

Once you finished drinking, you settled the glass on the sink and faced him. You decided to call him with a more respectable honorific.

"Yes Kiku-san, I’m okay. Please stop kidding around, you’ll give me a heart attack" you replied

"Oh, I don’t want my _______ to get ill because I love her, I’m sorry" he said with a serious tone

You swear your heart skipped a beat when you realized Kiku used “MY _______" and “I love her" in one sentence.

"Stop that or I might believe you, you know" you said as a matter of fact

"You can believe it _______-san because I am telling the truth"

You just shook your head letting yourself contemplate on your thoughts.

'Okay, there goes “THE SMILE" again, oh Kami-sama please help me, I’m trying my best to not act like a Kiku-loving crazy fangirl and I’m totally failing!'

You got too occupied with your contemplations that you did not notice Kiku get closer to you, his face just inches away from yours.

"_______?" Kiku’s voice brought you back to reality

Your instinct was to gently push him away and you did, but what he did next astonished you.

He took your hand, pulled you closer, and and…

He kissed your forehead, now that caught you off guard.

"Does that prove I love you now?" he asked after he pulled away

You blushed and turned your head away from him.

"Hmph, noooo… but I must admit, that kiss was manly" you said, still looking at the side

"Really _______-san?!" He said, and you looked at him surprised to see his eyes almost sparkling

You just stared at him and smiled, he’s well-collected yet cute at the same time…

You just fall in love every time.

"Yes, but I take it back now because you are just so cute! Let me ruffle your hair!" You said

And he pouted, you were about to ruffle his hair when his next English sentence made you retrieve your hand and blush ten shades of red.

“Perhaps, claiming your lips would prove I’m manly?”

Damn, how did he manage to say that sentence without stuttering?
